City of Heroes™ . City of Tomorrow . Since 1931, when a prodigal son returned with the powers of an ancient god and called himself Statesman, Paragon City has been the center of the super-powered hero universe. Through the efforts of Statesman and those who joined him in the war against tyranny and crime, Paragon City truly became a beacon and inspiration for heroes world-wide. A true city of heroes. All that came to a disastrous halt on May 23, 2002 when aliens known as the Rikti invaded the earth and began their war of mass extermination. Every major city in the world was attacked, but none were more devastated than Paragon City . It was here that thousands of heroes and civilians made their last stand. It was on this ruined battlefield that legends died and were created. After months of desperate fighting and incredible sacrifice, the Rikti were stopped-though not entirely defeated. In the end, of all the great super-powered heroes who called Paragon City home, only eight survived. Total casualty figures remain unknown, though low estimates placed them in the tens of thousands. In the aftermath of the war, Paragon City , like much of the cities of the world, lay in ruins. With most of the city's heroes dead or missing, crime and corruption seized the opportunity to fill the hero-less vacuum. Gangs of criminals-some reemerging from decades of hiding, many new and horrifying in their methods-began to take control of the city's war torn zones. Amidst this sudden influx of lawlessness, Statesman made a call to the world's surviving and newly found heroes: "Come to Paragon City 's aid!" Paragon City . City of Tomorrow . City of Heroes . There are thousands of City of Heroes and Villains themed sites and keeping an up-to-date list of them would be impossible. However here are some of the best and longest standing sites which have proved to be useful to us EuroCore heroes in the past.

Official Sites

Official site and forum for US servers. Check out the Dev Digest in the "Developers Corner" section of the site for all the information posted direct from the development team. You'll find that most of the interesting things tend to get posted and linked to on our own forums but if you sift through all the meaningless forum junk you can get some really good ideas on your powersets and slotting, plus other useful information. The Victory server has it's own forum section as well and server events are often posted up here.

Official site and forum for the EU servers. Without an EU account you won't be able to post but still has some useful information and well written player guides.

City of Villains official site. Same site as the city of heroes official site, but with a more villainous theme.

Hero copy tool. Used to copy characters to the test server.

General Useful Sites

NoFuture. Comprehensive and up-to-date site with TF, story arcs and zone arcs listed. Even has all the Kheldian arcs listed. If you haven't visited this site then do! Also contains a lot of other CoH related info with guides/FAQ's etc. Also has rapidly expanding villains section.

Vidiot Maps site. Best known for it's great maps!. The downloadable map patch lists everything you need to know including monster spawn sites, zone event sites and badge locations. You can also view the maps online if you don't want to use the patch.

Badge Whore. Sister site to Vidiot Maps this is the best place to go for badge information. Can also register and track your heroes/villains badges online.

Warcry. Well known site with lots of useful info and some good FAQ's and guides

COH Vault IGN. Another big site with useful guides etc.

US server forum guide listing. Great for specific AT/builds guides

EU server forum guide listing. Again great guides for specific AT/builds

Salvage and Crafting Guide. Specifically for EuroCore and ShadowCore, this guide explains how the crafting process works, and how the SG is handling salvage.

Specialised Sites

HeroStats. HeroStats is an Open Source statistical analyzer. It runs alongside City of Heroes and collects information about how well your hero is performing giving info on damage/accuracy/recharge... well actually everything you ever needed to know about your hero (and tons of other stuff).

In game map patch. Direct link to the Vidiotmaps in-game map patch download page. Excellent thing for badge hunters and generally lost people.

Crey Industries. & HeroCorps. Twin sites hosting user-submitted backstories for your characters, presented as a Hero Threat Database maintained by Crey Industries, and a Villain Threat Database maintained by HeroCorps.

City Game Tracker. Wondered how people get their avatars which show whether they are online, and which characters they are playing? Well, wonder no more. When the game is running, the tracker will pull out character information such as name, archetype and origin, which, combined with this website, allows you to link to public character profiles and dynamically generated game status links.
